Another thing to know to be safe in chatrooms is that you do not have to tolerate anyone bothering you. If anyone is making inappropriate advances or uncomfortable conversation, then you can block them in either AOL chat or Yahoo chat. At the bottom of the instant message box, there should be a button or option that allows you to block the person you do not want to talk with anymore. It will not allow any more messages to come through again until you unblock them. If that is not enough, some instant messaging services have a button that has to do with reporting bad behavior. When the company reviews your complaint, if it is serious enough, they might even terminate the other persons ability to get into chatrooms.
